Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Legal Specialist at 7-Eleven Vietnam is responsible for building, organize and ensure Company’s activities are in compliance with the current laws and legislation. The Legal Specialist plays a vital role in developing policies and giving legal assistance for: strategy execution; effectively minimizing legal risks; and creating beneficial opportunities for cooperation between 7-Eleven Vietnam and potential partners in short-term and long-term. This is a full-time position based at our corporate HQ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build the legal document filing system; annual legal initiatives planning; procedures and requirements for legal risk management related to this particular industry 
  • Build, draft and evaluate legal documents related to current commercial, construction, labor activities of the company
  • Coordinate with relevant Departments, partners, external legal counsels to construct and ensure our activities are in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations
  • Advise Departments on updated laws and regulations which are related or potential having an impact to their fields and functions
  • Build, manage and update the online legal document filing system periodically
  • Effectively assess potential legal risks in the business that the Company is operating in short-term and long-term
  • Be the representative for the Company in any dispute or litigation processes (if required)
  • Perform other tasks as required by the BOD


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors’ degree in Commercial, Civil, Economic, Labor Law or other retail-related field;
  • At least 03 – 05 years in similar position, experience in settling actual disputes and complaints within the retail industry or at reputable law firm
  • Well presented with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent command of English (especially speaking and writing)
  • Maintains professional working knowledge and keeps abreast of legislative & regulatory developments and requirements necessary to perform the role
  • Excellent work organization and planning skills with analytical and logical thinking
  • Ability to present oneself in a professional manner with honest, enthusiast and meticulous characteristics
